Best boxing venue -Royal Albert Hall

Post by dalcumly »

Down in London last week and ended up in the Albert Hall on Tuesday night watching The Dubliners ( more action than Klitschko v Mormeck !!).
But I was reminded of a previous visit in 1990 to see Mike Mc Callum v Michael Watson .
If you haven't been , you are missing something . You would be forgiven for thinking that the Hall was actually built for boxing . The atmosphere is unbelievable and everyone gets a perfect view .
I see allegedly has a show scheduled for 28 April featuring Nathan Cleverley . If you get a chance - go , just for the experience .

Yes a great venue. Excellent to hear boxing is back there. the local residents tried to have it banned from the premises, under the daft idea the crowds leaving would make too much noise and wake them up from their beauty sleep. No surprise they misunderstood the crowds they were thinking ( or heard about ) where most likely the last night of the proms mob, because hardly any of the locals live there full time anyway. Saw Benn v Logan there, what a great night that was, the roof nearly came off when Benn came back from the brink.
