Surely it should be declared a no contest. BBBC reps made the mistake, shane should keep his title and a rematch ordered for late may!

McPhilbin needs his belt returning.

If Enzo Maccarinelli has any class about him he'd send it back. He was like a scarecrow in the wind during the first round. With almost a minute left he'd would have stood no chance.

Sickening to think not only was he saved from a career-ender but he was also given the title and declared the winner !

I got back of the boxer I bought it off. I never buy direct from him due to booking fess on his shows!

there was only about 25 seconds break inbetween the first and second round too.

I had a small bet on McPhilbin at 14/1, to win by stoppage, I couldn't believe it, what a shambles, this was a title fight, not a 4 rounder. No refund on the bet either!!!

Why delete the whole thread , its not as if any particular promotor can complain as it was 100% farcical and cant be denied , ok delete any posts that say it was a Con job as in bribed Timekeeper etc as thats potentially slanderous , but why the entire thread .

Complete farce , Shane was robbed , simple as that .

It has to be a NC and timekeeper should never be involved in boxing again. Disgraceful is the only word

lets not blame FW here, incompetent officials are the cause, its too much in the open for any skull duggery to be going on, basically i think the timekeeper goofed up, forgot to start the clock at the start of the round and then 'guessed' when 3 minutes was up....total muppet.

who was the timekeeper/ lets name and shame the tool, he was happy enough for his name to be read out by the MC in his pre fight credits. who was the muppet?

We can point to many occasions of corruption/incompetence, it has to be one or the other.

Unfortunately officials are in an ivory tower and don't get hauled over the coals. Boxers on the other hand and ordinary license holders get theirs taken away at a drop of a hat.

Billy Aird is the only referee I know to lose his license and he never did anything compared to the bad decisions /scoring etc that we have become used to in this country.
