why do people in the crowd insist on fighting if someone cheers for the other fighter
Maxwell didnt have many supporters there but 1 of his fans was decked by a rose fan and 2 of the rose fans mates all stood up so it would of been 3 on 1 but the security did a great job of stepping in. the maxwell fan had been giving the crowd some shit before the fight but it was in jest as he was laughing the entire time but some during the fight someone must of took exception to him and reacted. medical team took him away but he returned to see the end of the fight. big props to frank maloney for going over and talking to him to see if he was ok. i hope he is as i've done thing like that when i'm in the minorority and its always in fun and no-one deserves that.
Bit of a shame that, I don't think the man doing the punching was a friend of Rose's, prob just a moron who wouldn't have lashed out if he was there on his own.

I spoke to the lad today and he said he was excited having the crack and maybe being a bit too loud and some one cracked him in the eye.
He laughed about it but yr right its not on.
Just what he thought it was, banter like you said,but he may have got a bit too cheeky or personal and some one cracked him.To b honest the kid is mad he was laughing about it today saying oh well it was only a punch in brum it would have been a bottle or a knuckle duster.
Least it was almed down and didnt take attention away from a great fight.

Not really to be honest though that lad is the type to not even realise hes offending people some of the other brummies sed he was going a bit too far in his banter and wasnt surprised when it kicked off but dont think it was malicious hes just a mad lad.

jon i'll do my best to come find you next time, i'm always happy to meet anyone involved in boxing especially if they like self punishment like we do with our football team. i met max after the fight as he was walking around the arena were you with him then?

Nah i stay out the way after lol im mentally drained by that stage. For the first time ever i had to check what round it was as the ring card went past the fight was flowing so well i wasnt sure what round it was.

Someone must know the moran who punched the Maxwell fan, lets name and shame him on here, and also give his number to the fan who got hit. We don't want people like this at our shows, go and watch football if you want to fight, or better still talk to Frank he'll get you a fight in the ring, then lets see how brave you are.
