This tournament which started yesterday has brought together some of the best under nineteen boxers in the world.Countries attending include Russia,Cuba,Kazakhstan,Uzbekhistan,Ireland,Azebaijan,Ukraine and Armenia.One wonders why Britain and the United States are not in attendance when smaller countries are.Irelands emergence as a world power is partly due to their willingness to give their young stars invaluable experience win or lose.Something Cuba and Russia have always done.

There are some many things USA should be doing but are not, mostly due to leadership or lack of. You could write a book on the screw ups in USAB over the last 12 years.

Think it's younger than under 19 but the point is well made as to how vital it is to go to these type of events.

The competition is for young men born in 1994 or 1995,So they can be eighteen but not nineteen.

IABA reports all three Irish boxers lost their semis but picked up three bronzes in one of the toughest competitions in youth boxing

Irelands top 3 boxers at this level wernt there for some reason at 52 Joe Fitzpatrick, 75 Anthony Coyle and 81 Gary Sweeney.

Also David Roche was supposedley robbed blind watch out for him at the World Youths he is a class act.
