ray hood ?

anybody know what happened to the former welsh lightweight champion ray hood ? i know he fought some good uns in his day and i use to watch him regular in the early 80,s in deeside leisure centre,he was a smashin guy and i lost touch with him nearly 20 years ago now and somebody recently told me he moved down south to live with some bird and work down their but the fella had heard he had took his own life. does anybody know if their is any truth in this ? or is it just idle gossip !

forgot to mention ray was the only boxer of the day to be covered in tattoos as most fighters have em these days but he had loads,chest,back,arms covered

Just did a quick google search but the only item of any relevance was the same thread by yourself exactly a year ago.

Does seem as though he is no longer with us but i don't know for a fact.
