It's probably unlikely to unfold which is a shame, as Rees says he was offered a Burns fight but 'options' and less money than he just made in his last fight killed it dead.
A few years ago I thought Rees looked unfocused and set for obscurity, but he has really pulled it all together and is smoothing out into a great lightweight.
Mitchell's inactivity won't be helping him at all, and it always seems like he ends up in some bother when away for long spells.
I think it's a good fight for the fans and would capture the publics imagination if promoted properly would be a big summer fight.
I think Mitchell would start as favourite, but Rees style is something that he'd have a hard time dealing with. That's what makes it an interesting fight as victory isnt assured for either man.
Maybe we get Rees vs Murray if not. Another mesh of styles.
