George Groves v Kenneth Anderson - 30th June. Aye...
George Groves v Kenneth Anderson - 30th June. Aye...
The Board's notices have come round with this listed. I had heard it mentioned elsewhere but now it's 'official'.
Groves is set to box on 5th May for the WBOgus title and if he wins, the British title match won't happen.
The alternative scenario is he comes straight off the first loss of his career and has eight weeks to get ready for a bloke who dropped him last time out?
Me no likee.

Interesting (potentially) that Groves was a no show at today's press conference for the fight:smoggy7188 wrote:Will never happen unless the rumours are true and he has a busted nose and aint fighting in world title fight.

Hopefully it's nowt...still, I'll go to the foot of our stairs if he boxes Anderson on 30th June after boxing Stieglitz on May 5th.

Are they trying to force Groves into a corner where he can't defend his title and has to vacate?

The decent thing to do would have been to avoid talk or negotiation of the world title fight until business is done. It's not even a world title fight. Ward is the world champion

Yes would been best. How were tickets sales going for that fight?Jeff Thomas wrote:The decent thing to do would have been to avoid talk or negotiation of the world title fight until business is done. It's not even a world title fight. Ward is the world champion
