Re: Rest in Peace Terry Spinks MBE
A great little fighter, a great ambassador for British Boxing and most important a great human being, who was loved by so many people.
Special congratulations must go to Rosemary Ellmore for the sterling help that she has given Terry over the years, she is also loved by many for what she has done.
R.I.P Terry Spinks MBE.

RIP Mr Spinks,
remember doing the old "not sure" routine at York Hall when half my brain was saying "that's Terry Spinks!" and the other half kept saying "behave yourself, it's not". In the end I hung around in earshot for a while and heard someone make a passing mention to a Gold medal so I thought "sod this, go for it!" and went over, introduced myself and shook hands.
Very nice man, still seemed surprised people knew who he was and what he'd accomplished.
And as a note - something Audley Harrison could have learnt....... if you win an Olympic Gold medal and carryyourself in the right way, the public will not care how you get o in the professional game.
RIP Champ

Different Era, if Terry's era could have transported to now - then I think he would have got on better in the pro's. He was a good solid British champion in an age when there were some fantastic featherweights in the country.T.M.K wrote:RIP Mr Spinks,
