As A Boxing Fan, Would You Prefer To Watch......

If you went to a live event and instead of the undercard being filled with prospects vs journeymen, would you prefer to watch two evenly matched journeymen. I'm not talking about the whole bill, just one well matched fight between to hard working, honest pros. Where going into the fight, both of them has a realistic chance of winning.

Id rather watch a whole bill of journeymen vs journeymen rather than prospects vs journeymen any-day. These fights are really pointless in developing a fighter as their opponents offer no desire to win therefore it is simply a glorified spar.

You'd actually pay to see a whole bill of journeyman against journeyman? The skill factors not there, otherwise they'd be prospects. My next question is how much would you pay? 30 quid? 40 quid? 50?

A whole bill is probably a bit excessive, but I'd probably be happier with a card of mostly journeymen fighters, with say 2 decent name, evenly matches fights at the top of the bill.

There was a bill yesterday in Aussie with only 3 fights, strangely all for various WBF titles and all journeyman v.s journeyman. Would be interesting to see the figures (monetary and viewing) for the fight card with no obvious ticket seller there.

On the subject of ticket sellers. If I had a mate who was a fighter and I knew he was going to get beat, would I buy a ticket to watch it. The answer is no. If he was matched correctly, I would be there cheering him on.
