Bailey had already won an IBF eliminator before fighting Ouali. Zavek was still the champ then so not sure why he didn't get a shot at him.

I think the more serious question as opposed to the meaningfulness of Bailey and Jones contesting for the world title (I think its a perfectly acceptable fight) - is why have they stripped Berto?

Randall Bailey is a dangerous fight for anyone, even Kel. Mike Jones is more skilled but less dangerous, Kel should be fighting for this title, in fact he should have fought the WBA champion who got schooled by Malinaggi, surely Hearn is not looking at the superstars of the division just yet.

Randall Bailey is a dangerous fight for anyone, even Kel. Mike Jones is more skilled but less dangerous, Kel should be fighting for this title, in fact he should have fought the WBA champion who got schooled by Malinaggi, surely Hearn is not looking at the superstars of the division just yet.

More likely that he's looking for someone easier. Has Brook fought anyone who can test his chin yet?

Hatton, Jennings & Ndou certainly weren't from that mould. Get him in there with Prescott
