Andy Ganigan RIP

Post by zurdo »

Sad news to hear about the passing of Andrew Ganigan,
former lightweight contender from the early 80's. Southpaw Ganigan, was once Named as one of RING magazine's "100 Greatest Punchers of All time" He was actually a pretty skilled boxer, very quick with a straight left that was pure dynamite. but, like a lot of big punchers, he also was chinny himself If Andy Ganigan was fighting you knew somebody was about to hit the canvas , hard! . was one of the most constantly thrilling fighters on the networks in those days . Flattened Sean O'Grady with vicious straight left to the body and also dropped the great Alexis Arguello with a quick left in their mini classic back in 1982. RIP to very brave warrior.
