Horice Notice

Post by KOJOE90 »

Anybody know what the former Britsh & Commonwealth Heavyweight Champ is up to these days?

The last thing I heard was about ten years ago when he got arrested (or just questioned) about an illegal 'rave'.

He's currently doing "the knowledge" to be a London cabbie.

I thought he was a better fighter than Gary Mason. He was getting better and better up to the time his eye problems were diagnosed. Notice wouldn't have been a world champion, but he would have tested Lennox Lewis far more than Mason did.

It's hard to say, from what I recall he was good at most things but not great in any particular area. He was not the biggest of Heavyweights either if I recall correctly, so may have struggled with the big Heavyweights (in the same way as Herbie Hide maybe).

I would say he would have been very competitive at European and World top 20/15 level.

But we shall never know alas. :-?

It was a shame about the eye problems Horace experienced.

He was closing in on a shot at then EBU champion Francesco Damiani, and I for one thought he had a fair chance of winning that one.
