Frankie Gavin V Matt Hatton
Frankie Gavin V Matt Hatton
not sure if this has been picked up on elsewhere but I see Frankie named Matthew Hatton as a name he'd like to fight on twitter last night. Hatton responded saying "get one of your team to contact me, im up for it, self promoted so there will be zero problem making the fight happen"
Frankie will have to be the best he has been thus far as a pro to beat Hatton - the Frankie that fought Woodhouse would surely be beat by Matt ???
Thoughts?

I think Gavin would stand Hatton on his head, box his ears off, and any other phrase that comes to mind. stylewise i think hatton is made to measure for a slick southpaw (anyone else remember the Craig Watson schooling?)

i agree with you lets hope it happensCounter-puncher wrote:I think Gavin would stand Hatton on his head, box his ears off, and any other phrase that comes to mind. stylewise i think hatton is made to measure for a slick southpaw (anyone else remember the Craig Watson schooling?)
Re: Frankie Gavin V Matt Hatton
would be a good fight and a great test for Gavin - Exactly what he needs !!
Re: Frankie Gavin V Matt Hatton
With all due respect, if Frankie cant beat Matthew Hatton then he needs to give up boxing and do something else with his life.
Re: Frankie Gavin V Matt Hatton
interesting fight, not for the first time in my life i am confused as to which way i swing......
Re: Frankie Gavin V Matt Hatton
Would be a boxing lesson, Hatton would be bamboozled. Hope everyone tips Hatton though, could do with a good bookie pay day
Re: Frankie Gavin V Matt Hatton
its a real good test for frankie pressured for 8,10,12 rounds watever they fight i expect frankie to win but it will b a tough fight where u learn alot a frankie for the future
Re: Frankie Gavin V Matt Hatton
A fight Frankie needs to get his name out there, as much as I agree Frankie on his day would make hatton look silly, Matt is tough, durable and would fancy his chances, hope it happens

Would be interesting to see odds if it does happen. I dont think Hatton posesses anything to trouble Frankie with.

it makes me laugh some people on here go on as if frankie gavin is already a world champion ? i agree he's a good fighter but he needs to clean up british level before he moves on and i think hatton would be a very good test for him at this stage

I'd rather see Matthew Hatton vs Junior Witter.

Re: Frankie Gavin V Matt Hatton
I dont think so, If Frankie is going to achieve world champion and possibly superstar status which im sure he wants to achieve and a lot of people think he has the ability to achieve *atleast the world champion part anyway* then he needs to be beating the likes of Matthew Hatton who is a european level welterweight and got schooled by Craig watson who is a domestic level fighter. The two times Hatton has stepped up to world class or in Kell brooks case at this moment in time fringe world class he has been beaten in very one sided bouts. There's no denying that.Horse wrote:Nonsense.leftysreturn wrote:With all due respect, if Frankie cant beat Matthew Hatton then he needs to give up boxing and do something else with his life.

That doesn't mean Gavin should retire if he loses.leftysreturn wrote:I dont think so, If Frankie is going to achieve world champion and possibly superstar status which im sure he wants to achieve and a lot of people think he has the ability to achieve *atleast the world champion part anyway* then he needs to be beating the likes of Matthew Hatton who is a european level welterweight and got schooled by Craig watson who is a domestic level fighter. Re: Frankie Gavin V Matt Hatton
Frankie would win this comfortably going on his last performance........I suspect Hatton won't go for it and make an excuse that the money won't be enough.
Frankie seems to have turned a corner now.

Hatton said on twitter he's a free agent so it should be easy to put the fight together
Think Hattons the perfect opponent to make Frankie look like a world beater
