This was incorrectly reported as KO7, and dozens of sites have simply taken the initial report for granted and copied the misinformation around the net.
Zuniga won by KO8. The fight was a couple of minutes into the eighth round when Berrio was stopped.

The only Colombian source I saw (I think it was El Universal) had it as a KO7. I don't know that we get commission reports from Colombia to correct it. If the fight is online that would certainly help.

Still.
Going on two years now. Is this just going to stay wrong forever, all because a local rag made a typo and no further effort could be put into verification once this was brought to Boxrec's attention? Any of the BR staff bilingual? Is shooting a quick email to Federación Colombiana De Boxeo out of the question? I don't get it.

Unfortunately I cannot find a video of the fight anymore, but he's definitely right; it was the 8th round.
Re: Fulgencio Zuniga vs. Alejandro Berrio, 7/19/2012
has rd 7 and the latest Fight Tax record book agrees.
However if you came up with a legit video...

Cannot find a video anymore, so I guess this means BoxRec will have the round listed incorrectly.
It was 100 percent the 8th round.

So the burden is on those who actually saw it to have to disprove an obvious mistake in reporting? (off which literally every other source including FF and Boxrec are likely basing their error)Blue wrote:You could be right; but all the reports in my search

That seems a little crazy, but okay. I guess it will just be wrong forever.
What is the point of having a Record Queries & Updates section, then? Do the folks at Boxrec not care about recordkeeping accuracy? It seems like they should.
An outreach call to Berrio's people, Zuniga's, the commission - this can't be done?
It was a KO8. I can't believe it has gone this long 'officially' in so many places as KO7 all because some local rag misprinted it the night of.
