Re: 2012 Olympics
Went to the boxing yesterday night and last saturday night and basketball last sunday. Desperate for athletics but not holding out much hope
Re: 2012 Olympics
Went to the boxing on Monday night, got handball on Friday and volleyball Monday to come.
Really enjoyed the boxing on MOnday, shame not to see any British fighters as the atmopshere must be amazing for that (when I was there even the mention of a GB judge was getting a massive reception from the crowd). Think they've set up Excel really well for it, much better than my only other previous experience of boxing there which was the prizefighter heavy weights. Mixed crowd really I was expected it to be mainly made up of massive boxing fans but was a lot of people who didn't have a clue what was going on and just wanted to experience an Olympic event.

Atmosphere was amazing. I will try and get tickets again as long as there are no Australians fighting
Nothing against the Aussies but I want to hurt the person who came up with that chant. Annoys the hell out of me. Im probably on my own with this one admittedly

You ain't alone there. Been to rugby before with them chanting away. Zero originality.lefthook82 wrote:Atmosphere was amazing. I will try and get tickets again as long as there are no Australians fighting

Us Brits are in a different league to anyone else when it comes to chants so I guess we are hard to please.
Re: 2012 Olympics
Boxing today, equestrian tomorrow (I know, taking my daughter), and the footy final.

Re: 2012 Olympics
I was at the afternoon session yesterday so got to see some quality action and fighters. I was also at the football on weds night to see Japan v Honduras & UAE v Senegal. The buzz around both was brilliant, boxing was fantastic.

Such as the chelsea chant (and the reson they were throwing celery at the cmapions league bus during the parade)
Celery
Celery
if your girl dont cum
then tickle her bum
with a lump of celery
Or newcastle fans chanting "shoes off if you love the toon" resulting in fans taking one shoe off and holding it in the air.... this was then followed by "leg off if you love the toon" -aimed at a bloke in the crowd who had a prosthetic leg - he duly took his leg off and held it in the air.
