Knew it was being talked about but didn't think it would happen so soon, hope Scott signs the contract, boxing fans are in for a treat on the 22nd of September if he does, I will pick Mitchell and Harrison to both come through tough fights !

Who for though? Even though Murray was stopped in his last 2 hes still a dangerous fighter. Alot of people say he was never that good but many expected him to beat Mitchell myself included. Should be a good fight the winner getting a title shot and loser facing retirement. Hope Scott can do it.

could have and prob should have had it on a sepearate show as a main event would have sold out in scotland, burns vs mitchell is going to sell out with out that one anyway, fair play to them for putting them on same bill, am hearing john simpson vs liam walsh aswell?

That is quality. Simpson always worth watching. All 3 bouts deserve to be headliners. I'm also surprised they don't split the fights for different promotions.

Did I just read eliminator for the winner of Burn v Mitchell ?????????????? Sorry but I can't see how beating an ex featherweight world champion who hasn't fought good oppostition in other 6 years warrants a shot at a World Title. Same for beating a good european level fighter who has been knocked out in his last 2 fights by world class opposition. If any fighter in the UK deserves a shot at Burns or Mitchell its Gavin Rees. Hearn said a while ago he is trying to sort out a fight with Abril for the the WBA belt Rios vacated, hope to hear something soon.

Still hoping for a good fight I've followed John from his early career since he was 20 or so, glad to see him back shown a lot of heart last time out just beaten at his own game.

Nothing on Boxrec about Simpson and Walsh, hope it's true though will be a good fight, however I'm going to miss this whole card as I'm in Belfast watching Carl Frampton V Kiko Martinez.

Ken Buchanan was in a different league to be honest (regarded by the BBC as the best British fighter ever) but Harrison was a good belt holder at his peak.

Ive always thought Harrison as a Scottish Mike Tyson, a machine in the ring when he wants to be with issues outside of it but I know Buchanan was an all time great but in my time watching boxing Harrison is the best.

I wish him nothing but the best all the same, it would argubly (there ive said it again) make him the best Pro in Scotland in a lot of peoples eyes if he got back to the top after so long out of the game. That is very possible given the people on top at the moment in GB calling themselves world champions at least.

Agreed. It's amazing that he's fighting at all never mind talk of a world title shot. He's not everyone's cup of tea even in Scotland but he deserves credit for turning his life around.

If Scott had 3 or 4 more quick bouts it would make it a bit more of a bout, but straight after a bum fight into a scrap with John Murray is gonna just write him off.

Say he loses badly.... He will fall off that wagon in spectacular fashion.

I used to like Murray but he'll never achieve what he could due to his lack of dedication and his contentment at being a 'local' celebrity in his part of Manchester.

Harrison will do him, maybe quick. John does not move his head and is on the back of a couple of good hidings; he was fantastic a couple of years ago - like a little mexican; then he thought he'd got Marvin Haglers chin and wanted to chase everyone down.

I cant belive people are just writing off Murray in this fight!. Harrison has not had a proper 'fight' against a qulaity opponent for 6 years and is a natural feather and it being thrown in with a guy who despite his flaws is one of the best lightweights in Europe.... this is a gimme for Murray... look for Harrison to start good and then fade and be stopped in about 7 or 8 rounds. Really dissapointed that Harrison is being handled like this, basically he is being thrown to the wolves, a short cut to a deadend alley for Harrison...
