Epic if it is true, but I won't be holding my breath.
Did this source allude to a date the announcment will come?

Would be stunned if this was the case...unless Cotto sees it as simply an easy, non threatening warm up before a rematch with PBF. Ive heard some names and whilst Cotto was mentioned the thought was he is too expensive. Maybe someone who has recently retired would be a better opponent for Choc, but I still dont think it would be a sweet ending !!!

Cotto is supposed to fight on December 1 but his most likely opponents are Timothy Bradley and Saul Alvarez.

I'd be surprised if Cotto wasted his time on this. Alvarez, Bundrage, Bradley, or even Kirkland are much bigger fights

Mundine's not a nobody in the states. Didn't you realise that 280 Americans bought tickets to his last fight.

Possible Mundine v Cotto will be good for Australian talent on notice on the world stage of boxing where it matters Las Vegas USA, be it Mundine wins or loses or you love him or hate him, he will either go on to bigger and better things if he wins or he will be shut down and come back to the dark corners of Australia and fight no hoping bums again and it will be a fact that he took on the best and couldnt match it and failed....
I personally hate his attitude and arent yet convinced he can mix it with the best in the world yet, he is in the top 10 in the middleweight in the world so its time to see him fight some REAL quality boxers!

This is the latest bit of kite-flying speculation about the great pretender:

Murdoch's sensationalist tabloid media, written for failing twelve year olds, a total insult to one's intelligence.

I obviously would like Geale to give my mate Sammy a shot, but I think Danial should take the early pay day and fix Mundine's little red, shut him up once and for all, wagon before pursuing a bigger payday with whoever comes out in the wash between Chaves-Martinez-Golovkin.
