Due to his "commish connection" the judges robbed Frazier of his rightful win over Leonard.

As Joe just likes to "bash punk twygs" he is not discouraged. He'll punch a bale of hay out of Armstrong, and probably lose the "decision".

But neither Armstrong or Leonard will be worth much after the scrap.

Frazier is a wrecking machine and does not care about W/L/D.....he just puts a hurtin on ya.

Still peddling that same old lie I see. Leonard beat Fraizer black and blue.

Black and Blue describes Frazier as he entered the ring with Leonard, Leonard exited the ring crimson and violet from the bloody brusing Frazier introduced to Benny during their 10 round "discussion".

Crease, Am I correct that this tourney was developed and managed by Detroit? If so, It's his call.

So, basically Crease bitched and whined until Lopez got eliminated?

Jofre - 862
Ketchel - 852
Whitaker - 846

Lopez - 851
Leonard - 708

So upon further review, it appears I was right all along and Crease should have just kept her mouth shut. Ricardo Lopez, fought better, and was not knocked out. Jofre and Ketchel will continue to advance, and Pernell Whitaker will make history by leaving the tournament with the Lonsdale title but not advancing to the second round. Not a bad consolation prize.

I am reluctant to make a change here for Leonard and Lopez because I would be eliminating Armageto from the tournament completely and passing both of Hog's fighters, but right is right, right?

IMO Lopez deserves to advance.

We, in the past, have usually tried to avoid extra fights at all costs, but maybe in this case Leonard and Lopez need to settle this against each other before Week 22.

What do you all think?

Not that I care or anything. ;;-)

"Leonard seems to have done enough to win this fight."

From the Leonard/Lopez fight. I'm not saying it wasn't close, but Lopez won a lot of his rounds close (I think 4 rounds by 5 points or less). I'm not saying going by the end of the round point total is always the best result, but the announcers thought he won, and he won the end of the round total 8-7. You also fail to mention Leonard lost to Ray Robinson on a cut, while he had already knocked Ray down. It's not like he got dominated and stopped in the fight by a straight KO.

To note, along with Leonard winning 8-7 at the end of the round by round total, the fight total added up is:

Leonard-160 Lopez-136

Perhaps we can make a thread with a poll, with the fight write up. Let people read the fight, or just go by the round by round score (Whatever they like to do) and vote on the winner. If all the managers honestly thought I won or lost, I could accept that.

Okay, let's put Jofre through as group winner, despite the FACT he was in a 3 way tie

CONGRATULATIONS - we now know that you are corrupt!!!

In the past Detroits word has been final and nobody has ever cried foul, as it's his fornicating tournament.

He has always put contentious issues out to the rest of us to decide, but everyone has gone with what he suggests. To me, that says nothing needs to change except maybe our behaviour (me included, although I'm mostly taking the piss to wind Crease up). The sim is meant to be fun,

STOP CHALLENGING EVERYTHING CREASE. IT ISN'T YOUR SIM... YOU VOLUNTEERED TO HELP OUT. INSTEAD YOUR THROWING A SPANNER IN THE WORKS AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY.

Your going the right way about being relieved of your roll. Then you can go back to being a bitching and whining manger again, but you can't do both. Make up your mind. I couldn't care less right now.

--

Now then,

To avoid any more outbursts, can we have the criteria for splitters set out for the knock-out phase please Detroit?

I think we've had total tourney record: least losses as first splitter, for draws in the past, if I'm not mistaken. As long as you have the time, it would put and end to this shit.

Random Question:

If boxing put novice refs in the ring as the NFL did on the field, would Zab Judah's hand have been raised in victory as he wobbled around the ring due to the fact that the Referee imposed a severe penalty on Kostya for "hitting during a boxing match"?

It's puzzling that the WBC & Lonsdale titles have been eliminated from the tournament. I, for one, didn't see that bombshell coming.

Perhaps the winner's prize should be "choice" of what ABC title or titles they would wish to vye for.

(We can not impose such a fight on the holder of the Lonsdale belt, though Lonsdale chammpions seldom shirk such responsiblities.)

If the IBO is the only belt left in the tournament, then the WBF lineage will go to the tournament winner.

You'll have to earn that right, Loi just took Joe Louis to the brink.....one judge saw him as the 3 belt champion, the other two were paid off by Sock........you know how that goes. Loi will now need to focus on only the creme de le creme. I'm afraid Greb would be a decided step down in class. And as we both know, Loi reeks of class.
