Billi Joe Saunders vs Fletcher

Post by dirketo »

The favourite is Billi Joe Saunders. He won more confortable his last fight than Fletcher. But Fletcher has more experience in amateurs winning James Degale.

Does Fletcher any chance to win? In Australia people is very confident in his boxer.

Don't really know too much about Fletcher to be fair, so hard to say... Watched a few of his fights on youtube and he looks like a tidy boxer, puts his punches together nicely but Saunders is a different class to anyone he's been in the ring with. I think both lads need to be applauded for putting their unbeaten records on the line though, especially Fletcher, fighting away from home. He looked in good shape at the weigh in and seems up for it, should be a decent fight.

I've not seen Fletcher as a pro, but given his Amateur pedigree and the fact he is unbeaten, you have to say that this is a good match up. Saunders has looked impressive thus far, as a pro. Fletcher deserves huge credit for coming to Britain at this stage of his career.

One thing I am pleased about is that it adds value to the Commonwealth title. I'm really looking forward to this one.

Toughest test for both guys as pro. Fletchers a highly decorated amateur so in to be taken lightly. Should be a close one.

Looking forward to this one, Fletcher can obviously box but may not have the punch to keep Saunders off.
The undercard looks a busy night for T.B.A

All prospects won so far, O'Meara beat Randell by stoppage, he looked decent but Randell needs to retire as he has little punch resistence left.
Mitchell Smith won on points against Pavels Senkovs, a good enough learning fight for Smith, he got a bit over earger for the stoppage and spoiled some of his work, but Senkovs earned his money.
Frank Buglioni beat Joe Rea in a fight that had the feel of when the stoppage would be, rather than if. And Rea got stopped in the 2nd round after a knockdown, he had already been down twice in the 1st. I can't say that Frank would of learnt much from this.

Gotta agree that Frank learned nothing, Buglioni needs better fights than this and soon!

Thought Skeete did well. McDonagh was always going to be a decent test

Skeete came through on points, still he's one of those that might go on to win alot more, or fall apart when he goes up the next level.

Saunders wins in 2nd, he looked good. Had Fletcher over in the 2nd, before the obligatory quick stoppage by Ian John Lewis.

What a ridiculous decision from Lewis, I thought Fletcher could have gone on. Really annoyed by that, I was hoping for a far longer fight, one that would have tested BJS but fair play to him, he landed some good shots and never looked in trouble.

Not sure he looked a bit all over the place the next stop was going to be a brutal ko i thought lewis did him a massive favour.

BJS looks like he could be a big big star i think he may well be the best mw in the uk.
