Jeffries Forced To Quit

Post by Bronxbull666 »

Tony Jeffries has had to retire, injuries to both hands.

Sad news. It didn't look good for him though.

Sad news from a boxing point of view. But if ever a fighter seemed to have plenty going on outside the sport it's Jeffries. Is he still opening a gym in LA with Mickey Rourke?

Ah that is a shame, showed promise but then just never seemed to up his game, then got very unlucky with injuries.

Going to be the 'best gym in L.A' apparently.

More to do with he wasn't interested in the pro game imo.

I wonder if he owes Frank Maloney any cash

Sad to hear, but suspect he'll manage to be that rarity who makes a success of his life away from boxing. Best of luck to him.

Maloney definitely wasn't on his list of thanks on Facebook.

Also said he got shafted as a pro, but never elaborated.

In reference to the unfortunate Darren Sutherland case.

Wasn't Tony with Maloney?

Jaffa had the punch & strength but if truth be told he never wanted it bad enough & never bounced back from a knock.great am & can retire a proud man, who will succeed outside the ring.
I Wish him well & apologies on my opinion if it causes offence.he never had the minerals of a bellew or degale
