If true a significant step into how serious Hatton is taking this comeback. Senchenko dissapointed last time out - but remember him looking excellent in previous fights both as WBA champion and before that.

I remember when Felix Trinidad came back and beat up Mayorga people were saying it was an very tough comeback fight (hindsight is a wonderful thing). I think there are some parrels here -Senchenko is an awkard customer and quite big at the weight.

I was excited for the katsidis fight as it would have been a good action fun fight but at the same time Micheal would have been to small and frankly I've been worried about the amount of punishment he has taken in the last few years.

Was happy with N'Dou, so i'm also happy with this. He's going to be a fair bit bigger than Hatton, will be interesting to see how he goes about this. A sign that he is looking to comeback more as the boxer Hatton than the wrestler Hatton?

Very credible comeback fight so fair play to Ricky and his team . This clearly shows his intentions as he could have taken a far easier option with the arena tickets almost already gone. I do hope it's the start of a magnificent return to the ring and some more great nights out.

Very interested to see how Ricky fares, particularly after Scott Harrison showing signs recently that it is possible to come back from a protracted lay-off and look okay....(not meant to imply that Harrison has remotely faced a Senchenko level opponent yet though!)

Good point re Scott Harrison - his comeback didn't get half the negative press from experts as Hatton's - Ricky is younger, in a higher weight devision and even though Ricky hasn't treated his body like a temple it has probably suffered a lot less than Scott's.

Yeah I know that, but Sky Sports are the giants of TV Sport in the UK with 6 dedicated sports channel's - this used to be the home of (whether through SBO or SS) of the major boxing events both in the UK and the US... pretty much if it wasn't on Sky it wasn't worth watch - okay I am generalising cause there have been periods when the BBC and Setanta (and now allegedly) have shown big ones. Sky brought us the the likes of Roy Jones, Shane Mosley, Tito Trinidad, Oscar De La Hoya, Lennox Lewis, Mayweather, Hatton, Pacquiao, Holyfield, Bowe etc etc etc. You used to get close to 6 shows every month I would say.... Now, if your name doesn't end with a Hearn you don't get a chance.

The sport cannot afford for this to happen. Great for Froch, Rees, Barker, Frampton etc as they will get showcased on Ringside everyweek - but for the sport as a whole - terrible.

Great for you - bad for the sport though. I reckon more punters will watch on Sky (even SBO) than Primetime who simply don't have the platform to advertise it. The Channel 5 link might help, but still it is very much a minority channel.
