Pulev opens the door for Fury
Pulev opens the door for Fury
Pulev's win over Ustinov without Doubt sets him up for a Wlad fight ,unless Wach can pull the biggest upset since Buster Douglas. Which Means Fury is in the spot for a fight for the EBU title against injury prone Helenius or Boystov , Fury who will just need a win over a top100 Heavyweight will leap frog one or both of these inactive fighters a Euro title fight for Tyson in May is a real possiabilty. The European Champ Vs Commonwealth Champ by end 2013 bring it

I'd like to see this fight, probably more likely to see Fury in with Ustinov though.
Re: Pulev opens the door for Fury
I think Tyson should target someone like Dimetrenko or Chagaev, People forget how young Fury is compared to Price,Haye,Pulev,Mitchell and Povetkin he's still got plenty of time to develop. I can see Mick going after Mormeck or maybe Charr both just lost to Wlad and Vitali so it would be a good barometer
Re: Pulev opens the door for Fury
pulev doesn't need fury. he's beaten two very big men already, dominating and stopping both dimitrenko and ustinov. there is no more natural challenger to wlad or vitali. unfortunately it seems that although he is ready, he's tied up in an IBF 4-man tourney.
in this division, which is getting repetitive and stale, we need heavy hitters, big guys with good or promising offensive skills, like pulev, and also helenius and perhaps boytsov, to go out there, and lay as much punishment on the K2 bros as possible. even if they can't get the win, try to push them closer to/into retirement, ala vitali v lennox lewis.
the big promoters such as universum and sauerland should have done this kind of thing long ago, risking their fighters rather than letting them go soft.

Manuel Charr would be a really good choice. Unfortunately I think Charr is promoted by Universum and unless it's to fight a Klitschko their fighters never fight outside of Germany, and certainly not on another promoters show.diggler wrote:I think Tyson should target someone like Dimetrenko or Chagaev, People forget how young Fury is compared to Price,Haye,Pulev,Mitchell and Povetkin he's still got plenty of time to develop. That would be a good fight. Ustinov isn't skilful, but he's tough and punches very hard.Bronxbull666 wrote:I'd like to see this fight, probably more likely to see Fury in with Ustinov though.

I saw Ustinov's loss to Pulev. A big gust of wind will put him down.Asterix wrote:That would be a good fight. Ustinov isn't skilful, but he's tough and punches very hard.Bronxbull666 wrote:I'd like to see this fight, probably more likely to see Fury in with Ustinov though.

Why did it take Pulev 11 rounds then?Cap wrote:I saw Ustinov's loss to Pulev. A big gust of wind will put him down.Asterix wrote:That would be a good fight. Hopefully it's somebody decent. I'm not getting out of bed that evening for anything less than an Eddie Chambers 8)

I watched Pulev's last fight and I know I'm biased being Fury's #1 fan, but Fury beats him.

Re: Pulev opens the door for Fury
Pulev would absolutely massacre Fury.
Pulev has shown it in the ring against live bodies. Fury simply hasn't.
You can pick Pulev because you see he fights and bludgeons serious opponents. You cannot pick Fury based on anything he's shown in the ring because he doesn't fight serious opponents.
Would Fury's team put him in with Pulev? We all know they wouldn't. Would Pulev's team put him in with Fury for his next fight? We absolutely know they would.
