Tony Danza-Robert Conrad Boxing Match

Tony Danza lost by knockout to Robert Conrad in a middleweight match refereed by Dick Steele. The fight between the two former professional fighters turned actor was fought without head gears and I believe was not an exhibition. I posted a photo from that fight on Tony Danza's boxrec page. Was this fight considered a real match?
