Simon Green, the chief executive of the allegedly boxing channel backed by allegedly, will be leaving allegedly to join BT as the head of their new BT Sport pay-TV channel.

Wonder if he'll try and take Warren, and some of the boxing rights in place with B0xantion with him?

Interesting times. BT have won some Premier League rights, so they'll be wanting to add to their Sport portfolio. Boxing would certainly fit the bill. It comes down to cost at the end of the day, but an arrangement with Warren similar to the Sky one with Matchroom could be intruiging.

I could see this as a definite goer, BT could bankroll allegedly's transition to HD and absorb the channel onto its growing sports portfolio which if an exclusivity deal is agreed would also mean less of a responsibility on FW to promote bi-weekly shows.

Why would BT absorb a Company that will clearly be losing a lot of money at this stage ie its infancy, when BT have a clean sheet of paper and can create their own model - also at a time when certain Promotors are desperate for a TV deal ?
Frank always said - and he is right - that a new venture in boxing will lose shed loads for the first 5 years.
Now it might not be the case, but maybe Mr Green is worried about the longevity of his current employers ?
Equally it might be the case that BT like what has been achieved and this is a case of head hunting.
Either way I cannot imagine that Frank is amused.

They might show FW stable plus some international fights.

a little off topic but why has allegedly started to show mma. I pay £10 a month to watch boxing if i wanted to watch 2 people have a roll about i could go down the pub and watch that bollocks every weekend

My friend had vision for about 2 months and it was woeful, like a web stream. Infact I think it was. The menu, the box, everything was total pants. Content was sh*te too.

A recent upgrade has improved things, but I still regularly wake up to discover that overnight recordings have failed - with no explanation.
I'll be over to Virgin as soon as the BT contract is up - but at the time I took BT I couldn't get cable.

Expect a huge change in service quality come August next year in time for the Premier League season for which they have won rights. I can't see them challenging Sky's status as no 1 pay-TV company in the near future, but the company certainly has the infrastructure (and money) to compete with Virgin.

BT couldn't run a bath, let alone a tv station.

I deal with all divisions of BT in my field of work and they're completely inept.

Forget their premiership bids, their new hierarchy - the nuts and bolts of their entire company is cat sh*t.

Just out of interest Gomez which phone line provider do you use? I've been thinking of going with Sky but I had a talk talk leaflet through with broadband which sounded good but then my bro told me they are a dogshit company
