Who would you favour at the moment?
Joe has fought better comp', but he didn't look too hot last time out.

Another overhyped white heavyweight, or a hard enough hitter to dent Big Aud?

I'd be interested to see the general opinions on who people would back if it happened now.

Then let's see what people think after Joe's test this weekend, and Audley's fight next week. I'm sure there might be a few shifts in opinion.

I think Mesi is very crude and I think this is a match up Aud;s people should go and make, it would propel him to contender status immediately adn Ive seen nothing from Mesi that would faze Aud. 8)

I'm of the same opinion, but Mesi's backers would avoid Audley like the plague.

possibly if the fight happened tomorrow but in a years time i dont think he will.
Joe looked awful against barrett and was luckyt to win in my view, tho Barrett is miles better than any opponent Aud has fought. But if he steps up over the next 3-4 fight I can see him making a mess of mesi if someone else doesnt first.

I think Audley would simply be too quick for him...his hand speed is his best asset.

Right now, Mesi might beat him, he's a lot more experienced, in a year's time, Audley stops him either early or late.

Mesi is chinny, has a porous defence and overrated punch power, his boxing skills a rudimentary, and he has already been exposed by an over the hill Barrett.

People shouldnt judge mesi on his last fight, that wasnt the real one in threre, he was 15 pounds over weight and didnt take barrett as a real fight, and it nearly blew in his face

fair enough but as the cliche oges you are only as good as you last fight, it was mesi under preperation that made him open to it, why cut him slack, hasim rahman certianly didnt when lewis didnt train properly and many people have slated lewis for doing so for years....!

Aud is improving faster than Mesi and Aud isnt that far off him right now so give it 4 fights and Aud will KO the guy.

That's true, so it's going to be interesting to see what people's view is in just over a week, after their next fights.

I'm not really sure of the outcome, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Mesi come unstuck this weekend.

So that's two unimpressive wins in a row for Joe. People have their doubts over Audley's chin, but Joe is clearly a bit fragile himself.
Jirov wasn't even a noted puncher at cruiserweight.

Anyway, it's on Sky at 10 tonight, so we can judge for ourselves.

I doubt Saturday's fight is going to tell us a lot more about Aud though, unless the Dutch man has a few surprises in store that is.

I think Harrison is pretty close to genuine championship class, he just needs rounds. A couple of ten rounders would do nicely. I'd fancy him over Mesi at this point, in 3 or 4 fights time he'll crush him.

It's interesting I think because Audley has had his share of critics, but some are beginning to quieten down now. He has definately shown improvement from his early fights when he looked like he wanted to go to bed in the fifth round, and some questioned his punching power, but I think he still has to show some more improvement. But I think if you'd have asked this after say his 9th fight, a lot of people would've still been against him. I mean, I don't know most of you guys that well and you may have been Audley supporters from day one, but I think with a couple of good performances from a few people high ranked in say, the European ratings, then people may start supporting him, especially if he improves further.
