Jack "The Butcher" Reiss

Good to see "The Butcher" is getting some bad publicity at last.
We were talking about him last year on boxrec, when he nearly got Edgar Cardenas killed. This is the first time I've seen an internet writer bringing up the subject - Reiss is a real loose cannon and needs to be kicked out of the game ASAP.

....here we see the face-first knockdown of Garcia. Instead of putting Verno in a Neutral corner, and without even checking on Garcia’s condition, Referee Reiss finds it far more important to begin a dramatic count. In separate instances last year fans watched on TV as Reiss in my mind almost got Carlos Madrigal killed in addition to Edgar Cardenas.

RACE, CREED, & CONNECTIONS DON’T MAKE A REFEREE

This is the third time in less than one year that Jack Reiss has blown a fight to the point where in essence he single handedly gave "The Grim Reaper" a ringside seat. Being White, Politically Connected, none of these things will ever make Jack Reiss anything other than a dangerous Referee. In closing, you simply can’t make chicken soup out of chicken spit! To those that are fostering this L.A. Fireman’s fantasy of being a Referee, they are in my mind putting a gun in the hand of a child. In other words, sooner or later somebody’s going to get hurt!

You just knew that Garcia wasn't leaving that ring until he'd taken some serious punishment. I was bloody shocked Reiss stepped in when he did, he could have got at least a couple more knockdowns out of it before Garcia slipped into unconsciousness.
