Re: Billy Aird
Much to my shame i've never looked at Billy record before, he fought some good names. Never knew he boxed Jimmy Young or John Conteh amongst others. He's got a record to be proud of.
Re: Billy Aird
I have known Big Billy Aird for many many years, from when he was boxing, running his pub and his career with The Board of Control.
Billy Aird is a gentleman who has time for everyone, nothing is too much for him to do if you need help.
Billy is another who has never forgotten his roots and is fiercely proud of being a scouser.
Billy is sometimes seen at York Hall with his scouse mates and can always be found at the monthly LEBA meetings at The George Blake public house just up from Old St station with his mates Pat Thompson & Charlie Wright & of course all the other ex fighters who make their way there.
These days I understand he is kept very busy with his grandchildren getting under his feet.

Top man is Bill,he and his side kick Johnny Winters used to have me in stitches. Spoke to him a few weeks back,he was asking after my old man and who I was training. Well pleased to see Billy get a mention on here.
