As you'll see from the picture, Team Clev have drafted in some help to work out the odds on him facing someone decent next.

Carol looking good in that picture...

He really needs to fight someone, even if it has to be a non-title bout. He's young and fresh (no Jimmy Savile jokes please!) so he needs to be active.

The interested parties have failed him. They should have known about DK situation.

They need to take ownership of the situation and deliver him an opponent without fail.

Who is Cleverley? Been a loong time since he was in the sports pages and on a proper tv channel. Meanwhile in Bellew land, he is starring in tv adverts.......

Clev should get on C5 or Sky ! C5 would be good.

At this point I feel sorry for Cleverly, he is a very good fighter and entering the prime stage of his career and is, lets be honest, a nobody on the world stage (despite holding a world title), and is being fed poor opponents which will do nothing for his career.

So, for Warrens two world champions it is: Cleverly v TBA and Burns v Walsh. No wonder Sky arent missing the sensitive one.

This is from the WBO convention held this week, looks like the WBO are getting a bit annoyed with the situation as well.

Light heavyweight: #11 ranked Marcus Olivera offered himself to step in to fight champion Nathan Cleverly next month. “If the champ needs an opponent, well, I have been ranked for two years and I’m ready to fight.” Olivera told the committee. Dean Powell indicated that he might be open to the fight, as Cleverly has an opening for his upcoming title fight next month.

The 175lb division remained a contentious place, as promoters and the WBO expressed concern over the relative inactivity of the champion (who fought three times in the last two years) from the United Kingdom, and the fact that he has yet to make a mandatory defense. Dean Powell pointed to difficulties with a proposed Bernard Hopkins fight as the reason for the delay recently, but his fighter was still ordered to make a mandatory defense against Robin Krasniqi, within 30 days of his November 10th title defense, as well a subsequent defense against the winner of the upcoming fight between #4 Eduard Gutknecht and #2 Jurgen Braehmer, which was declared a WBO eliminator.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

this is Olivera's record

FW has looked after Clev , rewarded him well for jumping from the Calzaghe ship, he can't have many complaints.
FW would get him the tougher fights if he was good enough.

Ricky Burns has proved he is good enough against the likes of Martinez, Katsidis and Mitchell yet he still gets fed Liam Walsh.

Burns deserves accumulating some money and to keep busy.
Where has Clev fought anyone like the standard of Martinez or Katsidis.
FW was happy to chuck Hamed in against anyone, gave Calzaghe Kessler, Lacy and Hopkins but then he was much more careful with Alex Arthur!
FW always matches his fighters to win and it is obv how he rates a fighter by the level he matches them

Eventually he did but it took a good number of years and there was nowhere else really for him to go.

Not really, no one really wanted to fight Calzaghe, ESP in Wales, Hopkins ducked him for years, the sick note stuff didn't help either.
FW def didn't have an issue with matching him hard.

His record clearly shows otherwise. Is argue it got to the point where it was time for jc to sink or swim as I'm sure his sick notes probably cost bunny a fair few quid.

Joe had a fair few easy fights but it was littered with a few good operators who were beasts compared to Clevs opposition!

Joe was a bit of a sick note and didn't like to leave home. I don't think Fwanky would have thought twice about sticking him in with anyone if the fight could realistically be made.
Coco is bang on for my money. Look at Naz. Fwanky was more than happy to let him go in with anyone it seems.

Clev is a good fighter in his own right but as I have said before, he is the most undeserving "world champion" in the sport.

Lol!!

Bring him back with the sobots, jiminez & thornberrys of this world!!

It's real lack luster matchmaking! & it's a massive shame as cleverly can seriously fight.

He can't fight to the level a world champion "should" be fighting at though, that's the problem.

How would he get on against Pascal, Cloud, Dawson or even Hopkins? He would get a beat up.

So how do both of you rate calzaghe?

Froch beat pascal & I don't think cloud is leagues above!
Very cynical comments!
& for what the wbo is worth he is world champion & should be proving it!
I've allway's seen the wbo as the European world champion belt with Barrera giving it credibility.god knows where benn & Eubanks would of been without it
