I cringed when he told Hide that he was talking like a loser. I thought for a second that Hide might snap.bennie wrote:Who was that guy interviewing the fighters? He told Froch that the Commonwealth title is bigger than the British (whaaat!), and then told Hide he hadn't lost.
"I did lose," said a tearful Hide in response.
Hide looked rusty. He'll need another fight at least before Williams, if and when that grudge match ever takes place. Apparently, Jess Harding was struggling for a TV date anyway, so the cut may have done everyone a favour (bar Williams). If the fight is put back till mid-summer, that would give Hide a chance to sneak another fight in. He needs another fight if he is to beat Danny.jameswilson wrote:Man Hide was heartbroken. He's even saying he may not bother coming back after this, that cut is gonna take some time to heal so April 23rd can say goodbye right now.

I think most of us knew that Hide-Williams had jinx written all over it. It will probably still happen because it's a money fight and the Beeb are geeing it up but there are countless obstacles in the way.
I hate to say it but Hide is a tragedy waiting to happen. Imagine him coping in the future without the fight game? He can barely cope with it and it's shaped his life since he was a kid.
The signs are already there...he looks back on his youthful years as a champ with frustration as if he's already finished. I know most of us don't have any fondness for Herbie but I pitied him at ringside last night. The man is a disaster waiting to happen.
