I know most of us will be watching Showtime, but those who won't be can provide updates on this card for the rest of us.

Thru 4 rounds Mikey Garcia dominates via the jab against Barros who is showing a lot of head movement but not connecting very often. At the end of round 4 the corner of Barros stated : "What's wrong"? -- Barros is fighting a very defense 1st fight

Round 5: Barros fights this round very well and his aggression wins the round for him

Round 6: the most exciting round so far with both boxers fighting for dominance. However, the deciding factor in this fight is the harder punches being thrown by Mikey Garcia...half way thru the round Barros decides that going toe to toe may not be such a good idea and loses the round due to an obvious realization that he is in trouble of not winning this fight.

Round 7: In my opinion Garcia wins again...although since Round 5 Barros is more productive...but harder crisper punches prevail and Garcia is a bit more active.

I have it 6 to 1 Garcia so far.

Left hand to the temple. Barros goes down and gets up....Robert Byrd asked Barros: " Do you want to continue" Barros turns away for a moment then looks at Byrd and Says "No Mas"

Barros decided to stay aggressive...realizing that he wasn't going to win a decision. This left him open and he got clocked! Mikey Garcia is a very hard puncher and will be a world champion due to the combined great defense he possesses.

Garcia TKO8 Barros

on my scorecard : Vanes is winning 3 rounds to 0

Vanes is a strong puncher and is effective in cutting off the ring and catching the slick elusive style of Lara. Lara is tapping Vanes and outstriking Vanes 3 to 1 ....but Vanes's punches are just so much more effective and less amateurish...in round 3 Lara is looking a lot like Derek Gainer (catch me if you can while i ride my bike around the ring)...still Vanes the harder landed shots. Lara gets hit and then backs up and runs.

The better fights are being shown on Showtime tonight .. by far

Round 4: Low blow stops the fight for a bit as Vanes grimaces in pain. The fight takes a dirtier turn...not too much other action in this round and judges will score it for both guys.

Round 5: Vanes has the strong right hand shots...but another difficult round to score....the commentators are mentioning that they are also having a challenge scoring the rounds and Harold Lederman is favoring Vanes
