Johnny Prescott dead

Post by john2345 »

Didn't see any thread about this on this board or the 'boxers of the past' one....maybe it's my eyesight!

Anyway, if nothing posted elsewhere he died on Sunday, aged 74 after 'a long illness'.

A good fighter who gave away up to a stone to bigger heavyweights, one of Birmingham's finest heavyweights - R.I.P.

Yes, was small for a heavyweight compared with the lads of today but could certainly handle himself and always fought showing class. Another sad loss.

Ill never forget that punch to that guy who threw the egg at him.His jab was pretty useful he controlled that thug who struck him. he was a tough hard fighter in the political world they called him two jags but the rep he tried to cultivate was of a grafter and working man.
