Doing a rejigging of the 3 MW title fights that filled the Hagler-SRL aftermath in 87. How would you see these matchups going at the time. All taking place in late 87. (note: ive dropped Frank Tate-Michael Olajide from the mix and instead matched up Michael Nunn and Mike Mccallum Iran Barkley v Juan Roldan Thomas Hearns v Sumbu Kalambay Michael Nunn v Mike Mcallum

Barkley v Roldan

Hearns v Kalambay

Mccallum v Nunn

and a reserve match of

Herol Graham v Frank Tate

I see Barkley having a shootout with Roldan and knocking him out in 6 rounds.

The still prime-ish Hearns would put on a brilliant boxing show to outbox Kalambay over 12.

Mccallum in 87 was too strong and experienced for a nunn still 9 months away from hitting his prime.

Graham should have enough to outbox the Olympian Tate.

Agree with everything except I think Hearns knocks out Kalambay. Graham beats Tate easily.

Interesting fights

Michael Nunn vs Mike Mccallum = depends which Nunn turns up, but I fancy a peak Nunn to win a close one on points.

Iran Barkley v Juan Roldan = Wild slugfest I think Barkley gets their first 6 or 7 times out of 10.

Thomas Hearns v Sumbu Kalambay = Hearns uses his jab, speed and height to win unanimously
