And another who am I?

Post by Controversial »

I lost my first 2 fights by KO in the 1st round and was actually given a permanent suspension for incompetent performances.

Before getting a world title shot, against an ATG, I had been stopped 16 times (possibly a record for a world title challenger)

After the title fight I never fought again.

I'm pretty sure you must be thinking of Lee Oma... though he wasn't ko'd in his first 2 bouts!

Ah Lee Oma, a name that brings back fond memory's. I saw Lee Oma fight several times at MSG against Tami Mauriello and Joe Baksi...Oma was a handsome guy who HATED training...He had a peculiar style of walking away with his hands down, and nailing guys coming forward somewhat like Joe Walcott...Tricky as hell, but when he was in shape was a very dangerous opponent...
In the picture "On the Waterfront" with Marlon Brando ,Oma has a part as a bartender....
