Question about Harry Greb

Im not sure if this should in the records section or here but Ive got an interesting question that Im admittedly too lazy to follow up on:

When Harry Greb fought Owen Phelps AKA Roughhouse Nelson in Arizona in 1926 he was reputed to have been the first champion to have fought in Arizona. Anyone know if this is true? If so was he the first champion EVER to appear there, or was he the first sitting champion to ever appear there? Kind of an interesting trivia question I suppose.

Ad Wolgast fought a draw with Fighting Beaver on Aug 1, 1919, at Yuma, AZ.

Ok, thats interesting. So they could have only been referring to a sitting champion. Did any other sitting champion fight in Arizona prior to Greb? I would have thought so but none come to mind.
