Loaded TV - Sky platform

Post by dondada »

I've been telling people this is Channel 200. However, I have Sky and on my listings that channel is 'Controversial TV'.

Anyone else have this?

I'm fairly sure that Controversial TV closes at x O'Clock and Loaded TV commences thereupon. Like when other channels close at midnight and infomercials for abdominal manipulation contraptions run through the night to passively sedate insomniacs.

I set up the sky+ for the fight yesterday if you go to 9-30 it has the programme called Loaded fight night live or something similar. But you are correct channel 200 is on the sky list as controversial tv.

Aye, I've been told it changes to Loaded at night time.

Annoying that this is not available on Virgin. I already pay for all the Sky Sports channels, ESPN and FW channel and still I'll miss some good fights!

Thats a virgin issue isnt it? Nothing to do with promoter / sky / anyone else. Cant you contact them to see if they'll add it to their platform, doubt it'd cost anything to them.

It is a Virgin issue yes but it's also another example of boxing being marginalised as a sport. As for Virgin adding it, I doubt they'd do that just because I make a phone call.

Jamie used to take "lead" commentating when VIP shows were on the smaller channel a few years back. Quality analysis and top guy, but in my opinion less is more and hes better suited to a studio role. For me sky boxing should follow football and get rid of "the old guard" (your keyes and gray character) and bring in a gary neville (moore) who understands the "modern game".

Very biased towards Rose and her nearly called Maloney W*rren.

On an unrelated matter, what is it with Maloney and those giant scarves he wears?

They're not giant scarves, they just look like giant scarves. A bit like how your twanger looks bigger when it's a Thai whore thrashing you off rather than a Tongan.

I know that but the point I was trying to make was that it is another example of boxing being marginalised and inaccessible to some people.

If anything this is making it more accessible as up until the deal it wasnt on any channel. Harsh reality is no channels want to buy into boxing. I understand frustrations with people not being able to receive the channel, but i guess if you go for virgin cos its cheaper you get the cheaper package (im assuming virgin is cheaper? Cant get it in sticks)
