Tony Bellew Bitter on Twitter

Post by 15829 »

Don't get me wrong am a big Bellew fan i go all his fights but he's moaning over hand picked opponents and and WBO rankings, yet he was all for it when he was with Frank, just think he should be the bigger person instead of making snide remarks on Twitter

How many more boxers are going to make themselves look total knobs on Twitter, it seems to be a trend?

All of them. Everyone who uses Twitter is a knob. No exceptions. I thought I was a bit of a knob for posting on this forum but Twitter takes it to a whole new league.

I have to agree (I also think the same about anyone who has a Facebook account)

At least most of us post under a sobriquet on here, the 'knobs' on Twitter use their real name.

He was indirectly mocking Conquest but it was aimed at Frank, said along the lines even handpicked opponents can win and will he be ranked by the WBO, but he often makes snide comments

Sorry mate just being a smart arse, no disrespect meant.

I only just cope with a few emails each day, think if I'd go mad getting Tweets and Facebook messages as well.

I disagree, I don't think you know how twitter works as you read it without ever making an opinion

Allows you to interact with a variety of boxers and like minded fans instantly , great for football banter and a 100xs less depressing than Facebook

Junior 'The Hitter' Witter is bitter on twitter too. It's because his girlfriends aren't getting any fitter and don't drink bitter or take it up the shitter.

Twitter helps make fights, helps build fights. I'm pleased boxing isn't decades behind other sports in this area as it is in others.

Twitter is a bit conceited, with most celebs trying to make themselves appear nicer than they are.

It also arms dickhead's with a direct line of abuse to whomever they fancy. Twitter won't ever replace forums ever in a million years.

Twitter is like McDonald's - fast, take-away information on the fly. Forums however are more like a good gastro pub. Where different topics can be discussed at length and the opinions of others are read without the need to 'follow them'

Every time I hear someone I used to have respect for say "I'm following..." or "I follow..." or "...retweeted me" it disgusts me. It just all sounds so needy, vacuous, and inane. Even worse is "Please will you follow me/give me a follow". Lame.

A lot of people say it's good for celebs telling people news but most of these celebs have their own website with a news section.

I look at twitter, don't have an account though, nor a facebook one but my mate in the US says that's a government tool for intelligence gathering so no way I'm going near that.

Yeah it can be a good way of asking someone who you wouldn't usually have access to a straight up question and some reply which honestly which is great but some just spend their time retweeting backslappers which is boring.
