John Rawling...
...what the hell was he on about with the Murray Walker comment? If he took that as an insult he really is as clueless as he seems.
Re: John Rawling...
Can you elaborate? I've been watching without sound.

"The beardy man in the crowd said I was the boxing version of Murray Walker (makes disgusted sound) I don't know how to take that personally"crusader wrote:Can you elaborate? I've been watching without sound.
The tone of how he said it sounded as though he thought Murray Walker was rubbish. Jim Rosenthal did admittedly pull him up slightly with pointing out how it should have been taken as a compliment, but the tone from Rawling was as if he'd been called rubbish...heck it was as if someone called him "the boxing version of Clive Tyldesley"

He's more like the boxing version of Clive Dunn....iamasadlittleboy wrote:"The beardy man in the crowd said I was the boxing version of Murray Walker (makes disgusted sound) I don't know how to take that personally"crusader wrote:Can you elaborate? I've been watching without sound.

Re: John Rawling...
Rawling is a genunine 100% pompous TWAT.
I love the fact he was found out on here, pretending to be a fan, and talking about how classy Rawling was, and how the other commentators were rubbish - until someone brilliantly caught him out, and he fled never to be seen again ( although you can guarantee the little twat still reads the board
)
For someone to bother doing that, you know they are not quite right in the head. It's an incredibly insecure and vain thing to do.

I wasn't aware of that. Do you remember his username?MightyWarrior wrote:Rawling is a genunine 100% pompous TWAT.

Correct on all counts. Commentators get too much stick on here at times, but in this case its entirely valid. He's woeful.MightyWarrior wrote:Rawling is a genunine 100% pompous TWAT.

Re: John Rawling...
one of my finest hours was at the froch/dirrell weigh in. I approached rawling with my camera in my hand, he looked up at me and i said...... excuse me john...... rawling smiled as he had been recognised, and the glint in his eye suggested he thought that a photo-call was imminent.......
so.....
I gave him my camera and asked him to take a picture of myself and tyson fury.
rawling was far from impressed!! .....

Respect to Jim for putting him right - he isn't doing a bad job to be fair
I can remember Steve Ryder doing Grandstand and I couldn't get rallying out of my head for the whole time watching it - Jim has adapted and I don't ever think about Grand Prix
