Amir khan looks good !!!!!
Re: Amir khan looks good !!!!!
I thought he boxed as he usually does. Molina is very limited, and was never going to create serious problems for Khan.

Fighting a limited lightweight proved very little, he'll get chinned again soon enough, it's a shame Hatton didn't have enough left in the tank to do it.

I agree totally!
Good fight to rebuild but is always going to get found out when he steps back up to title level

If you're into that sort of thing, not that there's anything wrong with that. I tend to favor Froch's missus myself.wesley05 wrote:Period !!!!!

No he didn't look good, it was the same old shit, this kid does not learn from his mistakes, Carlos Molina was a nobody with an undefeated record, if Khan fights like that against Garcia he'll be doing that little jig again.
Re: Amir khan looks good !!!!!
So khan looks good, against a hand-picked opponent designed to make him look good ?
Molina is small, even at light weight and couldn't punch his way through a prawn cracker. His arms are that short he needs someone else to wipe his own arse. He's never gone 12 rounds before.
So he gave up weight, power, reach, size, experience and stamina - the guy did not have one single advantage in any area.

That's one of your more pro-Khan postsG0mez wrote:So khan looks good, against a hand-picked opponent designed to make him look good ?

Re: Amir khan looks good !!!!!
Just to re iterate what everyone else has already said.
He looked good because he won. Still taking shots but they where from a much lighter non puncher.
Had he fought Danny Garcia last night the result would have been exactly the same as when they fought. Garcia KO Khan.
Any light welter in the world who has watched Khan's last couple of fights knows how to beat him, whether they have the tools or not is a different matter. Molina was doing the exact same thing as Garcia, timing Khan coming in and catching him and work the body, he caught him with some good shots just didnt have the power to make it count.

Re: Amir khan looks good !!!!!
Khan was still the same old Khan, overrating his own power, trying to force a knockout, taking punches. He was lucky he wasn't in with a hitter again.
He still seems delusional: "When I hit guys clean, they go down" - so why didn't this 5'5'' lightweight go down when you hit him clean?
"If I was fighting Danny Garcia tonight he'd get knocked out" - so how come you couldn't knock out Carlos Molina?
Impending doom in 2013.

Re: Amir khan looks good !!!!!
i thought the other carlos molina was fighting khan, the one who gave james kirkland a hard fight at 154. i'm disappointed now, that it was a different, much smaller, molina.Hagler2002 wrote:Fighting a limited lightweight proved very little, he'll get chinned again soon enough, it's a shame Hatton didn't have enough left in the tank to do it.

Re: Amir khan looks good !!!!!
Molina looked small compared to Khan. I believe that Molina has only recently come up from the division below. He was a non puncher and very very predictable in what he does, ie, come forward, take shots to give a few shots. I wasn't impressed by Molina at all. Sure, he was durable etc, but very limited. Khan does what Khan does. He goes in, pity pats and then comes out, whilst hopefully not getting hit. I real top rated boxer would still be able to counter Khan, because his chin is still open. The other problem Khan has is that he can't fight on the back foot. He goes in and out, then circles, in and out, then circles, but if a top fighter pressures him and can dig, believe me, Khan will go into a mini war to try and get out of trouble. He looked more patient and didn't capitalise on every opening, but let's see what happens with a more talented opponent, one that is equal in size and who can punch a bit.

Khan made same mistakes as old. He's getting banged out in 2013 - I promise!
Re: Amir khan looks good !!!!!
a good performance by khan but was expecting it really against a feather fisted lightweight got caught a few times but was more thoughtfull in his approach then last couple of fights think he should have another outing before he fights garcia, if he stays out of range and boxes would beat garcia to i fancy.
Re: Amir khan looks good !!!!!
Under plenty of pressure after back to back defeats, new trainer, trying new tactics, I thought Khan did just fine.
I cannot see how last night's performance leads to such certainty in instant doom that so many predict, the guy admits he is a work in progress.

Re: Amir khan looks good !!!!!
I didn't see anything different than usual. The only difference was the level of opponent.
He still had fast hands, still a good on top attacking fighter, but still massively flawed defensively, holds his feet too long and gets caught with a lot of hooks. A good fighter with any sort of dig will still KO him.

Totally agree.Khan is also limited in that he is at thick as concentrated pig shit. He just has no boxing brain at all, and therefore cannot adapt his style to the current circumstances.Quixall wrote:Molina looked small compared to Khan.
