An Apology.

Post by keithmoonhangover »

Last night I was a naughty boy and spoiled the result of the Michael Sprott fight for some of the members of the forum. For this, I can only say.... I am sorry.

However, these were my reasons....

1. I found out that Michael Sprott had won a fight in Germany and I was excited by this.
2. In the excitement, I foolishly posted on this forum.
3. I don't have allegedly Channel, so I had no idea the fight was being shown.
4. The reason I don't have allegedly is that I am a boxing addict and I like having sex with my Mrs.
5. As a mathematical eequation it looks like this.... Addiction to boxing + A channel that shows nothing but boxing = No sex with the Mrs.
6. I like having sex with the Mrs.
7. I sometimes think of the results of upcoming fights during forplay.
8. I have unresolved concentation issues.
9. When I see the result of a fight, that I have no idea will later appear on TV... I wish to discuss it.
10. My Mrs has no interest in a in undercard fights from German shows.
11. I wanted to talk about it.
12. I posted on a boxing forum.
13. A forum is place where people share their views.
14. I didn't do anything wrong.
15. Shove the apology up your ram-jam.

I avoid a boxing forum if I'm avoiding a boxing result.

Indeed.

The thought process that says 'I'm desperately trying to avoid boxing results, let me go and read a boxing forum' is a foreign one to me.

FFS. Loads of people have posted the result of a fight before it's shown without putting 'Spoiler' in the thread title.

On every occasion, someone tells them they've breached forum etiquette and advises them to simply put 'spoiler' in next time.

OP then invariably says 'Sorry, didn't realise, won't happen again.'

For some reason, you feel you're above this very simple approach.

Please put 'Spoiler' in the title of future threads which deal with results of contests which are yet to be televised. If you don't know it's going to be televised, but there's a chance it might be, please put 'Spoiler' in, just in case.

It's not the mistake that's annoying - as I've said, loads of people have done it and new ones will continue to do so. It's your reaction to having done it and having it pointed out to you (albeit unnecessarily aggressively).

The logic 'don't go on a boxing forum if you want to avoid a result' is solid. But going on a forum during a night's boxing adds to the enjoyment for many. Observing this simple etiquette will ensure that people can still do this.

Thank you for listening

Was he bollocks.. He was chaotic but he was as important individually as the other three equally.
If you'd had a by numbers sticks man in there they would never have sounded as powerful. He hit the skins like a machine gun and they were all the better for it.

For starters, I don't feel 'above' anything. I didn't know the fight was on allegedly and I've been roasted for it.
As far as my 'reaction' is concerned, I explained why I made the post last night and was just trying to have a bit of fun this morning.

I didn't set out to spoil anyone's night and I will try not to do it again.

Now, a question for you on etiquette. I watch fights on Eurosport and KOTV Weekly that are not live. Are people allowed to spoil them for me?
