Cruiserweight Deion Jumah has signed with Sauerland. If I were a young cruiserweight about to turn pro that's the outfit I'd look to sign with, for sure. All the best to the kid.

I'll be keeping an eye on this chap. Showing some initiative there.
Re: Deion Jumah
Crusiers are (rightly) big news on the continent. Ever since it's inception and particularly following the move to 90.7kg I've always believed it could be the best division in the sport. It's my biggest boxing niggle that the Yanks don't seem interested in it.
Re: Deion Jumah
He'll get fantastic sparring.
I spoke at length to Brian Hughes who told me in depth all about their trip to the Sauerland gym which was jammed full of eastern bloc cruisers and heavies. Fury sparred Helenious etc there.

Re: Deion Jumah
I think as we're now theoretically producing a higher volume of decorated amateur fighters it is inevitable that more will sign with foreign promotional outfits. All the better for british boxing if you ask me.
Re: Deion Jumah
Is he related to ex pro Danny jumah????

Deion's a top lad.
Here's a bit of background from an article I did on him last year - http://www.hattonboxing.com/tv/features ... eion-jumah

On the 90.7kg cruiserweight limit: how many of the great heavyweights could've made that weight with a safe cut - not even a diet?
I think...
Cut alone (when at their prime): all bar Lennox, Bowe, Foreman, (possibly) Tyson (strangely) and the Klitschkos.
Non compromising diet + cut (where 'compromising' means they'd take away a significant edge - again at prime): All bar Lennox and the Klitschkos.
