Amir Khan eyes Danny Garcia rematch after April return

Amir Khan aims to return to the ring in April and hopes a rematch with Danny Garcia will happen by the end of 2013.
Khan, 26, made a winning return to the ring against Carlos Molina on Sunday.
"The next fight is going to be around April time," said Khan, who was stopped in four rounds by Garcia in July.
"That will give me a nice little break. Then I want to be back in the ring again and then trying for the rematch with Danny Garcia."
Garcia is scheduled to defend his WBC and WBA belts against Zab Judah in February, which Khan is hopeful he can come through successfully to set up a second meeting.

"In April I'm looking at it being a fight in the 140lbs division for a world title, and then at unifying it with the Garcia fight - if he gets through his fight with Zab Judah," said Khan.
"Boxing is a sport where one punch can change a fight, but hopefully he wins that fight, I get through mine in April and then maybe at the end of the year it will be a good fight with him."
The 24-year-old American is open to the prospect of meeting Khan again.
"If the money's right then we'll definitely fight whenever and wherever," said Garcia.
"But it's up to what [promoter] Golden Boy wants because I can say 'yeah let's do it' but really I have no control over it.
"I know I'll definitely win the fight but it might not be that early this time.

They have moved him to Showtime, which widens the divide between Khan and the Top Rank fighters such as Brandon Rios and Tim Bradley etc.

Espinoza who runs Showtime boxing, hates Arum too. And ex-Showtime Ken Hershman wont be best pleased with the move after HBO started Amir's career off.

Josephito Lopez in April, Garcia in September and will probably loose and then GBP will drop him.

I wouldn't think he's a lock to beat Lopez. He could lose that fight, by kayo.

Lopez is more in the 'realm' of Garcia, Prescott, Peterson and Maidana than that of Kotelnik, Malignaggi and Salita.
