Source, Boxing News 11 Sept. 1909:
Just two undercard fights.
"There were to have been three in number, but owing to a most extraordinary procedure on the part of Sam Hare of London only two were staged. Hare was to have met Watts Griffiths in a six-round bout; but, although travelling down from London and actually visiting the hall at Mountain Ash early in the evening, he seems to have mysteriously disappeared."
fights that did go on:
Badger Brien (Cardiff) w pts 6 Buck Smart (Cardiff)
Munroe Grainger (Cardiff) w pts 6 Alf Silver (Cardiff)
