I noticed on their records that it mentions that their fights (1990 and 1991) may have been phony, since there were no other bouts on the card. The fights did happen. They took place in Dubuque, Iowa. The reason that there were no other recorded bouts was because the rest of the bouts were part of a local Toughman Contest, that was part of the National Toughman Tournament. (Lindecker himself is from Dubuque and had won the local Toughman tournament a few years earlier.)

However, the Brown-Lindecker fights were separate from the Toughman tournament and did indeed happen. The bouts took place in Dubuque, I believe at the Five Flags Center.
Can we get the part about the fights possibly being phony taken out of their records on the database?

Ambling Alp II is correct. I fought in Toughman in dubuque in 1991. I'll look for a newspaper report.
