Born Liverpool 1885, 5ft 5in, 'weighs, when in condition 8st 10lb [122], at which weight he professes himself ready and willingb to box any man in England'.
Lunt lost to Dominic Vario, 'an Italian domiciled in Liverpool', over 15 rounds at the Central Academy, Manchester (result on boxrec record), but the next week (prob. thursday, 9th September 1909, Lunt outpointed Vario, also over 15 rounds at the International Club, Liverpool.
Undercard: Young Skates (Birkenhead) w pts 15 Kid Riley (Liverpool), Bill Lewis (London) w pts 15 Jim Lewis (Liverpool).
Lunt was described as 'a well-known figure in the ring, having been boxing for seven years, during which time he has contested upwards of eighty contests in England, Ireland, Canada and South Africa. He is a fast fighter, and believes in forcing the pace, and that he has a punch to be respected is shown by the number of men he has knocked out.'
