Henry Armstrong's date of birth is right (1909 not 1912 - source the US Census for 1910) but he wasn't born in St Louis - he was born in Lowndes County, Mississippi - nearest town was Columbus. Not aware his full name was Henry Melody Jackson either. Certainly it was Henry Jackson jr but have not seen Melody anywhere as his middle name.
