Wanting training advice please

Post by JDC »

My brother wants me to do this with him...

http://toughmudder.co.uk/

...it wont be a problem getting into shape for it, but I broke both of my wrists when younger and one of them had to have pins in. It still gives me a bit of jip whenever I get an impact on it when playing sports. So I haven't done weights or pull-ups for years as they hurt and feel like they're under pressure.

Can I have some suggestions of the best way to gradually build up the muscles in my wrists, so that I can do the monkey bars and rings, please?

Any advice appreciated. I've got 8 months before it happens, so there's plenty of time... :TU:

i trained a young bloke 10 years ago that had badly smashed both wrists falling off a ladder, he was 19 at the time, same problems as you, i had him squeesing soft rubber balls every minute of the day he wasn,t doing something, even watching tv ,walking and running, in the toiletand also punching the speed ball, in three months he was ready to spar, he kicked on from there, you have double that time, you can also buy those spring loaded handgrips, all the best
