About 30-40% in my eyes because I think he is going to have to knock Devon Alexander out to avoid getting done over on the scorecards in my eyes.
Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
IMO it's 60/40 in Alexander's favor.
Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
50% it's a tough fight for both men !

I think 60% brook. I have a feeling he will be at his best and will win by late stoppage
Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
I am saying 90%
people keep saying points and judges no good but IBF confirmed an American, a British and a neutral judge.
I think with Alexander not been a natural 147 having only had 2 fights at the weight, Kell will be to big on the night. Accuracy is unreal and he has to do what Tim Bradley did except for the butts in putting Alexander on his toes on the back foot.

This is one tough fight for Kelly but if he can be the best he can I think he will stop Alexander. Early on it could be a bit of a chess match but I think when Kell realises he doesn't have to box this guy's ears off to beat him he will go for the stoppage in the mid to late rounds.
Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
i think the weight issue might be relevant.Although he should be able to bully him,i dont think brook will get the ko, cos alexander is a smart fighter and doesntleave himself open. once he realises brook is the bigger stronger fighter , hes gonna try and set traps , boxing defensively, and spoiling. if brook fights well and has enough success i catching him now and again i dont think the judges will score for alexander. but if alexander prevents brook from building up a head of steam and manages to land enough jabs then they will probably give him the decision. if brook can ko alexander he'll become huge.
Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
I went for 60%. Maybe its the fact I want him to win thats slightly clouded my judgement and pushed it in my mind up from 50-50. I don't think Brook is going to be fazed by fighting out there, and will do enough to make it a clear points victory - I don't see a KO.
Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
I see this being a good 50/50 fight. I think Kell will relish the big stage and won't bottle it being abroad.

Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
I just don't think Brook does anything well enough to be a factor at world level. Alexander is nothing special but he's probably a bit better than Kell. I give Kell 30 per cent chance to win.
Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
Depends which Alexander turns up I suppose - If it's the same one who fought Bradley and didn't want to know as soon as Tim Bradley started the rough house tactics - If Kell can put it on him from the start I think he could stop him.
Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
I hate to be negative but I just don't see Brook winning this fight so I'd say 30%. I don't think Brook is as good as people make him out to be. He really struggled with Carston Jones on home turf and I don't rate Jones as world class. Whilst that may have been a bad day at the office, I think he'll lose this one by a fairly wide points margin. He'll certainly need a stoppage to win and Alexander has never really shown chin vulnerabilities. I hope I'm wrong but I think fans are gonna be disappointed here.

Good post: Sums up how I feel. Hope I'm wrong though!

I don't think Alexander has the power to trouble Brook
I don't think Brook has the power to trouble Alexander
Fight goes to cards or stopped on a cut.
I think Alexander will win 7-5 or 8-4, so Brook has roughly a 37.4% chance of winning.

Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
I feel that Brook will have to stop him early as Aleksander is a clever fighter who will work Brook`s style out the longer the fight goes.
Aleksander is a top notch operator for me. He definately lost the fight with Mathysse for me, but the point is that Mathysse was not close to stopping Aleksander. I don`t see Brook being able to do what Mathysse couldn`t do.
It is likely to be a close points loss for Brook here as getting the decision over there will be tricky as hell. I have seen some stinking scoring in the states on several occassions and don`t see why this should be any diffferent.
Unless of course the money men have bigger things planned for Brook in the U.S. Aleksander is a terrible draw and brings little box office appeal. Maybe the americans think that with Brook they will have another 40+ thousand Brits travelling to Las Vegas if a match betwen Brook and Mayweather is made? If they do, then I am sure he will get more than a fair go on the scores.

They might be in for a shock if BigB, Billy Bessey & his missus are the only Brits in the crowd.forcefraser wrote:Maybe the americans think that with Brook they will have another 40+ thousand Brits travelling to Las Vegas if a match betwen Brook and Mayweather is made?

I think Kell confortably on points. I think he will be too mentally tough and skilful for him. Alexander seemed to be undone mentally against Tim Bradly, and he will find Kell's ingle style a nightmare + Kell is a deceptively big hitter when he sits on his shots.

He had no problems at all with Witter's more extreme Ingle style.big lennox wrote:I think Kell confortably on points. I think he will be too mentally tough and skilful for him. Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
I have to disagree there. Bradley is on a different level to Brook at the moment and is a much more rough and ready fighter. Brook very nearly crumbled when put under pressure by Jones and I think his power is slightly overrated.big lennox wrote:I think Kell confortably on points. Did you not see that jab he finished off his last opponent with?SteveDow wrote:I have to disagree there. Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
I understand what you are saying and I too think that Tim Bradley is an oustanding fighter. My point was that the whole occassion got to Alexander and when things didn't go his way he unravelled a little bit, and it is hard to train for an Ingle fighter + Kell has a lot of talent. It will be an interesting fight, I think.SteveDow wrote:I have to disagree there. Bradley is on a different level to Brook at the moment and is a much more rough and ready fighter. Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
This might be the first time that Brook is fighting a guy who has faster hands than him.
But everything else I give Kell the edge on… The point right here will be can Kell improve on top of what we’ve all seen? We know Alexander. He’s a known quantity at this level.
Kell has great skill. The issues here will be mental/psychological/emotional…

Re: what chance.....as a % does kell brook have of winning?
30 maybe 40% I don't know, Brook appears very ordinary most of the time but then again Alexander is no great shakes either, strange fight this, probably be a borefest as well.
