Lee v Fitzgerald

Post by Baboon »

Just been watching this. Interesting fight but I'm wondering what fight the commentators are watching. Focus seemed to be how excellently Fitz was doing, but I just didnt see it. Full credit, the guy tried his heart out, but he hardly landed a thing, Lee was taking his shots on gloves and shoulders all fight and was countering reasonably (but far from brilliantly). Maybe I saw it wrong. Any thoughts?

The commentary by Sky on this fight was poor. I thought Andy landed some good shots and dominated the fight.

the commentator said at one point that Fitzgerald was now fighting on instinct. He wasn't that puffed at all.

Was an ok comeback from Lee, he probably needs one more warm up before getting in with Barker or the others.

I agree that Nick Halling was making it sound like Fitzgerald was winning alot of those rounds. He lacked accuracy I thought the score was spot on. Not a great performance by Lee but he's a good fighter he showed bits of his class and should look forward to some big domestic fights.

I thought it was slightly odd how they kept saying Fitzgerald was out on his legs, when the next round he would put in just the same amount of effort.

I wasnt overly impressed with Lee but as Booth said they are working on things and I can see him getting better. I think he needs one more fight before taking on Barker.
