cannot find bout record for first ever recorded bout

I've searched every single date in the years 1841 and 1842 and could not find a single bout. When was the first recorded bout, what was the date?

It may have been a bare-knuckles bout and the policy on this site is to only list bouts that were fought with gloves and Marquis of Queensbury rules.

In terms of the very first bout and boxer that BoxRec used to launch itself in May 2000, it was Manuel Ortiz's loss to Benny Goldberg.
