Wow, groundbreaking stuff. Allegedly must have left a copy of it in the Car.
Written proof of the contract shows how amateurish this promoter really is.

It looks amateur in my opinion because when have we ever had to ask for a copy of a written contract to prove a fight is being agreed in the past? Usually when a fight is announced to the public it is accepted as being on.
The track record of chopping and changing fighters and cards with this promoter is shockingly bad, so bad he has to put proof online to confirm the fight is taking place.

So your problem is that he's chosen this way to show that the fight is still on? It's still on, I don't get the problem at all. It was only last week similar rumours surfaced about Price's fight, these things obviously happen.
I agree.
Seems to be plenty of rumours and lies doing the rounds recently. When fans have bought tickets, paid for travel and hotels it's easy to whip them into a frenzy suggesting a fight or a show may have been cancelled. Whenever these type of lies surface in future, I'd rather the promoter comes out with proof like today instead of leaving things festering.
It doesn't matter who the promoter is, boxing doesn't need this type of thing happening week after week. Sadly Kell Brook Vs. Devon Alexander was called off about 2 weeks ago. Then last week Price Vs. Thompson was supposedly off. Then today allegations Burns Vs. Vazquez wasn't even on. It makes boxing as a whole look like an amateur tin pot sport.

It's not a rumour when the fighter themselves tell Ellie Ballsack that its still in abeyance and is whoring themselves for a Broner fight on camera.

Not a rumour, just a lie.

Not necessarily the case at all. He might have been told anything by his people which might or might not have been true.

Maybe your correct there chad - but i was just highlighting that is wasn't a Tyson fury tweet, it came from the man himself.
Why would he say such a thing if he knew it had 100% been signed ?
I have no idea why to be honest.im just pleased it has been confirmed.

Very true. One thing I'm sure we can all agree on is that boxing doesn't need this kind of thing happening time and time again. Doesn't help the image of the sport at all.

The fact Margarito's ex-trainer Capetillo is stood with him, does not do the sport favours either.

Isn’t this just the nature of the sport. Problem being that with the instant media of today that rumours are out in the public domain very, very quickly.
I’m pretty sure FW or Eddie Hearn or whoever don’t want to let fans down.

Rumors are that Vazquez has pulled out because of financial reasons.

And did you see how old Alvarez was
I know it's not uncommon but it never fails to surprise me.

Burns needs to get himself paid big stylee if he's serious about tackling the problem and if Mitchell's to be believed ask for it up front.
Had a re watch of Broner videos and i can't see anyway he loses to Burns .

Talk about an old-school upbringing: he fought Alvarez twice & Tim Bradley, as well.
Nice to see a bloke like that do well--he reminds me of Oscar Larios, but less vulnerable to a heavy shot. & not as good. Actually, he just looks a bit like Oscar Larios.
Whatever. I don't think he's going to beat Burns, though, especially not away from home.

Vasquez is proper quality and would 100% be the bookmakers' favourite if this was in the US. I'm not saying he'll beat Burns but he has a longer reach (has Ricky ever fought someone who outreaches him) and has pissed it against Lenny Zappavigna, Mercito Gesta etc good (albeit limited), undefeated opponents.

STV haven't been wrong in the past. It's been leaked out by someone up here.
I really feel sorry for the guys who have put their money where their mouth is by buying tickets for this show. Pathetic

How are they even allowed to advertise this fight when it's not signed & sealed?
